Maybe I am just getting to a certain age, but it seems like everyone around me is getting married.
This weekend not only did my friends Beth and John get married, but I attended an engagement party for my friend Ian.
It is cool to see all the different ways you can do a wedding these days. I am not one of those girls who has had a dream wedding planned since I was a little girl. To be perfectly honest, the idea of a traditional wedding sort of freaks me out. I am NOT comfortable being the center of attention, so the thought of walking down the aisle to “here comes the bride” makes me super uncomfortable.
They had it at a great old theater in Syracuse, and did it the way they wanted.
Ian’s engagement party was much more conventional, with some party games and traditions that I had no idea even existed. The amount of ribbons you break is how many kids you will have? What?
I don’t have very many (or any) close and long term friends, and basically zero girlfriends so I haven’t been IN any weddings. Nor do I know who would be in my wedding.
Even though I don’t have a grand wedding plan, I have seen some things on Etsy that I love, so here’s my faux wedding wish list:
